As a recent graduate of North Carolina Central University School of Law, Janelle brings a unique perspective to family law. Her path to the legal profession was not traditional. Before law school, she built a career, raised a family, and experienced many of the same life challenges that clients face every day. Those experiences shaped her understanding of how deeply legal issues can affect families and inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to helping others navigate difficult transitions.
Today, Janelle is proud to be part of the team at Gantt Family Law, where she works closely with attorneys and clients to help provide thoughtful, compassionate, and detail-oriented support throughout the legal process.

What drew Janelle to family law was seeing how the decisions made during a case can impact a person’s life long after the legal matter is over.

One of the things she enjoys most about family law is helping clients regain a sense of control. Janelle enjoys helping clients understand the process, organize information, and feel more confident about the road ahead.

Beyond the Office
Janelle grew up between Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, giving her the opportunity to experience different cultures, communities, and perspectives from an early age. Those experiences taught her that every person has a unique story and that understanding different viewpoints is essential to helping others.
Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, spending time at the gym, baking, taking on DIY projects, and spending quality time with family. She is passionate about healthy living and believes that maintaining balance across physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being allows people to show up as their best selves.
When she finally has some free time, she hopes to return to one of her favorite hobbies: reading for pleasure.
If she had chosen a different career path, she says she would have become a marine biologist.
