Rooted in Family and Community

Laisha was raised in Libertad Village, a close-knit community in the Corozal District of Belize, where she learned the importance of family, hard work, and serving others.

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, baking, fishing, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. She also enjoys watching history and crime documentaries and has a lifelong interest in world history. In fact, before beginning her career as intake specialist, she once dreamed of becoming an archaeologist.

She is actively involved in her church community and takes great pride in supporting her daughter’s education and being an engaged parent.

Her daughter is her greatest inspiration and motivates her every day to continue growing personally and professionally.

One quote that guides her life is:

It reminds her to find hope, gratitude, and purpose in every season of life.

Another lesson she carries with her came from her grandfather:
