Biography
Shonica is originally from Guyana, South America but grew up in Eastern North Carolina and has lived in Raleigh since 1993. She graduated from Meredith College with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Sociology and then returned to complete Meredith College’s post-Baccalaureate Paralegal ABA Certified Program and was later certified as a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal. She worked as an immigration law paralegal before she made the switch to family law and worked as a family law paralegal for 17 years. She continued to work in the family law field for the last 10 years but as a Firm Administrator. She now gets to enjoy both of those roles as a Paralegal and Office Manager at Gantt Family Law.
